XCOM: Enemy Unknown (Part 1 - Unboxing)

Have you ever wondered what it feels like that something you wished would happen and it would happen? I had several moments in life which caught me by surprise.

But this one was more than a surprise, it was destiny.

NOTE: If you want to skip the next few lines of me reminiscing my past, then go to the unboxing proper.

-- START SEQUENCE --

When I was a kid, I think around 12 years old, It was during my summer break when I had computer lessons which was offered in a mall. The shop / school was small enough to house a small number of cubicles and computers. In the front of the shop, they sold copied PC software. I frequented playing in the shop and was able to get a copy of my first strategy game, XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

It was simple, rough on the edges. It was a bit complicated for me to understand at that time, I was frustrated because I can't beat the first alien encounter in the game as I tried and tried every possible thing to get the best equipment and save every man. Alas, my frustration got the best of me and I accepted defeat, but as General McArthur has said "I shall return."

And return I did after 5 years with a game guide hahahaha!

During these years, a number of expansions to the game has been released, and I played every one of them. This game being so close to my heart, I felt that it would have been a loss if they didn't do a remake of this game. I have not felt the same longing and excitement with similar strategy games the way that XCOM has made me feel. *Damn, I'm talking like I'm pertaining to someone special, but it's just a way of telling you guys how I feel*

But as of this time of this post, my dismay has vanished and the feeling has come back.

-- END SEQUENCE --

Anyway, XCOM. It's a strategy Sci-Fi game which takes place in Earth where aliens suddenly attack and the only organization that's capable of protecting us is XCOM. More info can be found by just going to Google or Wikipedia. I'll go with the unboxing.

We have here the DVD Case, it's a simple DVD case, nothing more.
